Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba at 37: A message of gratitude & A call for peaceful coexistence
As I clock 37 years of age today, Monday 16 September, 2019, I feel obligated to thank God almighty who is alpha & omega on all issues concerning man and all other of His creations.
As David, the psalmist, said in Psalm 8:4 “what is man, that thou art mindful of him’? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?”
Those who know me are already aware that my circumstances are captured in that Bible verse! I therefore return all the glory and adoration to Him who makes ALL things possible!
It is in the light of the above that I seize this occasion of my 37th birthday anniversary to express my profound gratitude to everyone whose path has crossed mine in the course of my journey so far.
This would, of course, include my dear wife and children, my parents, teachers, pastors, community leaders, townsmen and women, political leaders and associates, friends, and family, to mention but a few.
God bless you all, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen!
No man is perfect. This means that over the years, I may have stepped on some toes and some people may also have stood on my toes as well, thereby rubbing off each other in the wrong places. I freely forgive each and everyone of those who wronged me and ask for same from them.
The secret of happiness and fulfilment is embedded in the biblical injunction of love for one another and the ability to freely forgive when offence is perceived. This creates the conducive environment that makes for peaceful coexistence which is the precursor for meaningful development.
It is my call that we all toe this path, both in obedience to God’s teachings and in order to attract development to our immediate environment.
I thank you all.
Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba, MHR
