Governor Nyesome Wike of Rivers State, on Monday claimed that Senator Magnus Abe could have nowadays been the governor of the state if he had listened to his advice to go away former Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s authorities.

Wike made the claim on the Government House, Port Harcourt while Abe’s kinsmen, Ogoni indigenes visited him, adding that he had no longer promised any ethnic group inside the kingdom the placement of the governor.

He said: “Let no person say that I actually have met with Ogoni Ethnic Nationality and I promised them governor. I didn’t promise due to the fact I can not deliver.

“It is most effective God so as to deliver the placement of governor. With right association, matters can be completed. Don’t say I made a promise; don’t depend upon anybody, simply paintings tough. As Nyesom Wike, I can simplest guide but cannot make everybody governor.

“Take me as an instance. Someone sat right here and said over his useless body might I be governor. Am I now not governor today? I am heading towards eight years. “Nobody should threaten you that you cannot be governor. Don’t permit everybody to take the honor of God.”

Wike, who suggested Ogoni human beings that allows you to run for governorship election in the country to be fully organized to conflict for the placement, boasted that no management within the country had given the Ogoni people the variety of appointments his management gave them.
