The Ogun State PPRO, Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed that the incident happened in the state.

The victim, who is an Akara and fried potatoes seller along church street of Ojere, fell victim when she visited the suspect on an invitation to come to collect the potatoes he bought for her.

As soon as the victim reported, DPO of the Adigbe division detailed his men who went and arrested the suspect.
Oyeyemi further stated that the suspect who initially denied the allegations have confessed that he raped the girl.
The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State, CP Kenneth Ebrimson has ordered that the case be transferred immediately to the State CID for further investigation and prosecution.
