Revelations have started to emerge following the Federal Government approval of forensic auditing of the financial records and contracts executed by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) over the years.
There has been a public outcry for the government to carry out an investigation into the awards of contract and the activities of those responsible in handling the affair of the agency.
Since the creation of the Niger Delta commission in 2000, there have been no auditing of the financial records of the government agency.
On Monday, the House began its investigation and probe into the alleged financial misappropriation in the NDDC which saw the acting MD of the government agency, Dr. Pondei fainting during the session.
Among the shocking discovery is that in 2018, the commission awarded a contract to construct the Elebele pedestrian bridge at Ogbia local government in Bayelsa state.
The Elebele bridge contract was awarded for N2.3 Billion naira and was completed and commissioned in 2020.

  1. What can I say about greedy people looting that’s all they think about. They make me so sick that for 16years, I refuse to come back home. Poor President find himself in the hands of looters, He is trying but wicked people who do not want others to eat as if their family’s alone exists. I think they are sick they need help, they leave life like there’s no God Almighty. The whole thing is that they have wife and children and none of them can say daddy why. Wife’s of this men called themselves mother’s. Are they really mothers? Women who can not say to their husband’s stop they are glad seeing other family suffers and they are happy about it. They come to the USA, UK were the white man makes everyone feel that life is good and enjoy, and can not do the same in their own country and they have no shame. Their looting have know ending, they bring it to the white man land and when they die the money than belong to the white man. This why I say that they are sick people and look at it they are always coming for treatment always. I miss home but with the looters still around am afraid to come home. God will continue to provide for his children. They are not happy human being. God bless Nigeria all is well
