All may not be well with the ruling party, as it appears that Buhari and the APC’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu are currently engaged in a power struggle over the selection of the campaign council.
There are rumors that President Buhari recommended Margaret Chuba Okadigbo to serve as the campaign council’s South East Zonal Coordinator.
According to sources who talked with Newsmen, the former governor of Lagos State turned down the nomination.
Chuba Okadigbo’s late widow, Margaret, is the former Senate President.
One of the sources said, “His (Tinubu) South-East penetration is the lowest, he refused Buhari’s nomination of Okadigbo’s wife to handle his South-East campaign.
“He felt she’s not capable enough despite being told by the President to pick her.”
