The people of Erei-ise-mi-ise comprising Abayong , Erei North and Erei South Ward in Biase Local Government Area, yesterday Sunday 2 February, 2020 pledged their support for the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Biase Local Government Area Chairmanship candidate, Princess Ada Charles Egwu, in the March 28, 2020 council poll.
The leader of the group, Chief Owali Ilem made this known at the monthly meeting of Erei group of villages held in Calabar, yestersday Sunday, 2 February, 2020, he said that they believed in the abilities of Princess Ada Charles to take Biase to greater level if she becomes the chairman of the council.
He added that the Erei group of villages will unflinchingly support her daughter in all ramifications before, during and after the elections, knowing that Princess Ada will emerge as winner of the council election.
Member Representing Biase State Constituency at Cross River State House or Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ogbor Ogbor Udop applauded the decision of the leadership of the party in the state, led by his His Excellency Sen. Prof. Ben Ayade and His Indefatigable cum supportive Deputy, Prof. Ivara Esu, OFR and other critical stakeholders for endorsing Princess Ada as the sole candidate of the party after a unanimous zoning arrangement was agreed by the Biase Caucus, maintaining that she has done well to deserve the endorsements and hence our collective support.
In another statement, the chairman of Erei ise mi ise Youth Voice (EYV), Comr. Ukam Ike Obin said: “We will work for you assidously and mobilize all Erei youth to give you our total support, we have looked at the impact you can make and we believe that people like you can make a serious impact.”
Speaking on behalf of PDP councillorship candidates of the three wards, Mr. Raphael Egwu said, “We promise firmly to mobilize support of everybody to ensure that we give you 100% of our votes during the 2020 Local Government Polls from our various wards. We are battle ready with our PVCs, waiting anxiously for the d-day.”
Ada, however, lauded the stance of the party leadership, Biase communities and Erei ise mi ise communities in particular, promising that she would not deceive people because of a political post.
She said she had shown enough goodwill to the people of Biase as she is more determined to ensure the development of Biase under her watch as council chairman.
